Spotify Web Player Auto Logs-out After Closing Browser

I've been logging into Spotify Web using my Facebook account for the past few months since I got premium, and recently I keep getting logged out of web player whenever I exit my browser. I checked my settings and I don't have the checkbox for clearing my cookies checked. How can I stop the web player from logging out everytime I exit my browser? I'm using Firefox.

I had the same issue where spotify kept logging me out every time I closed the browser. What finally worked for me was not using the 6-digit verification code during login.

Instead, when logging in:

1. Enter your email address.

2. When it prompts for the 6-digit code, don’t enter it.

3. Click "Log in with password" instead.

4. Enter your password, and you’re in.

Since doing this, spotify no longer logs me out after closing the browser.

 It could be because of how Credential Manager works in Windows, opposed to a Windows VM?

This has nothing to do with the system being a virtual machine. It happens regardless of this.

Thanks for reaching out in this thread! We appreciate all the details you've added here.

Our tech folks have investigated this further & they've recently released a fix for this, which should no longer prompt a logout when closing the browser 🙂

At the moment, the 'remember me' button is not available on the website, which is why you still need to re-enter your details from time to time after closing Spotify. We've made sure to passed on your feedback about this to our teams, however.

My Question or Issue

Closing the Firefox window logs me out of Spotify.

I created a new Firefox profile and tested it.
I logged into Spotify and checked my cookies and found that the sp_dc and sp_key expiration dates for .spotify.com are session limited.
As a test, I set the session expiration date to one month later in Cookie Quick Manager, and I was not logged out even after closing the window.
please set the cookie expiration date so that Spotify does not log me out when I close Firefox.
