Could you explain a little further what is happening at your end, such as error messages, music not playing or any other issue?

I am having the same problem artist, playlist, podcasts, ... nothing is loading. I have tried everything from reinstalling to installing older version, trying firewall settings but nothing seems to work. It's not network related since my phone will play spotify just fine, only on the desktop app does it seem to load infinitely. I saw that this same problem has been "resolved" on the ongoing problems thread but for some people it still doesn't seem to work.
Oh that's curious.. Could you check if the web player works as expected?
Additionally, make sure your hosts file has no spotify-related entries in it. HowToGeek has an in-depth article on how to find and edit the hosts file.
