Spotify doesn't remember last song I was playing

Spotify is no longer remembering which song I was playing. Whenever I start Spotify, no song is selected. This is annoying since it forces me to go into the Spotify app and browse back to where I was, while I used to be able to just press play on my keyboard and be able to continue listening from where I left off.
