Spotify doesn't remember last song i played and deletes the queue

My Question or Issue

When I shut down and re-open spotify after listening to some songs it doesn't remember where I was the last time I used spotify, instead of that it just goes to a blank queue. This is really annoying when i'm listening to a playlist where i don't want to use the shuffle option because i want to hear every song to find music i like, i now have to write down where i was..
Also a month ago it was even worse because spotify 'loaded' a queue i had weeks before that so i had to select an other song manually to start a new queue.

I hope it's clear enough and someone can help me with this
