Spotify friend activity forced open?

My Question or Issue

As the subject says, yesterday my friend activity was forced open, and the usual ways of closing it (double clicking) don't close it. It covers a quarter of my screen, and I don't want to turn it off. I was wondering if there is anyway to collapse it back to how it originally is?

Try the following:

Go to Settings > Display Options > Show friend activity.

While this stops my friend activity from covering a quarter of my screen, I do not want to turn it off, I just want it to collapse back to its side of the screen, so it can only come out when I want it to!

Thanks for getting back in touch.

The section on the right showing your friend's activity can't be removed if you have that option enabled. If you want to hide that section, you just need to reduce the Spotify desktop window size, as that section will only appear when the window is at least 1190 pixels wide. You can find more info here.

@ramanamoru By the way, you can also hide the Friend Activity bar by going to the three dots menu in the top left -> View -> uncheck "Friend Activity." Probably faster than going through the settings.
