My Question or Issue
I wanted to reinstall spotify because I had an issue with the lyrics and other things, I wanted to use the spotify installer since microsoft store doesn't work, but somewhere when the installer is installing with the bar being short and going from right to left a couple times, the installer just close and disappears with no error messages.
I tried to move it to a folder with only english letters, same issue, can anyone help me fix this?
Hey there @themedo15,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.
This is odd. Just to confirm, have you tried downloading and installing the app directly from Spotify here?
If this doesn't do the trick, we'd recommend making sure that the OS in your computer is fully up to date.
Keep us posted!
Yes my windows 10 is up to date, and I did download it directly from spotiify via that link, not microsoft store. But it doesn't install anything once its finished
Thanks for the response @themedo15!
Just to make sure that there's no leftover files which may be causing issues, I recommend performing a clean reinstall by following the steps in this article if you've not already taken a look here.
As an additional step you can even clear the host files on your computer and for more info on how to do this, check out this link.
If you're still facing issues with installing Spotify afterwards, let us know and we'll see what we can suggest.
Keep us posted 🙂
Thanks for the suggestion, I did find some empty spotify folders and deleted them, same problem, I could keep searching and deleting more spotify folders, I also found a spotify fullsetup but...didn't install anything too, it only installs empty spotify folders, and produced a dmp file
Appreciate the cooperation @themedo15 🙂
Something odd is happening here, but we'll keep investigating together. There may be some leftover file causing the installation issue.
Could you follow the steps for the clean reinstall, as well as these for clearing the host files once again and then try to download Spotify from the Microsoft Store instead? You did mention previously that it didn't work, however let's give it another try if you don't mind.
If the same thing continues to happen, it'd be great if you could send us a few screenshots so we can take a look at how things look like from your end. You can attach them here via the Insert Image option in the post editor.
We'll be on the lookout.
