Spotify is on autostart and is freezing windows 10

As a result, I cannot use the PC at all. I have tried to quickly uninstall the  app before Spotify get going  but it does not do so quickly enough, Spotify starts and the whole thing freezes.

It has been like this for a couple of days.

Hey @DGVhythe, welcome to the Community.

Hope you are doing great!

Try to disable Hardware Acceleration, just click on the … top left corner, inside the View tab find Hardware Acceleration and next click on it to disable then confirm to restart Spotify.
Also, if you don't use local files try to disable them inside Settings.

Let me know how it goes 🙂

Thanks for your help. After at least six consecutive freezes, it suddenly did not freeze. I took the opportunity to uninstall Spotify and install an old version I mostly use because of previous (graphics) issues. Every now and then I try the latest version in case the issues have gone away.

Working OK at the moment. Not ideal, but I will settle for it.

Thanks again.
