Spotify not mentioned in hosts file

My Question or Issue
I was following these steps on how to clear my hosts file, and Spotify is not mentioned in the host file. I have no way of listening to tracks now as far as I know. I have already tried signing out, restarting, and logging back in. I have tried turning hardware acceleration off and I have also tried adjusting the sound. I have tried switching networks and that also did nothing to resolve the issue. The Spotify web player has worked perfectly for around a year up until just today. Yesterday it was working perfectly.
