Spotify not playing songs/playlists

I'm on the browser version of Spotify and when I click any song or playlist, it doesn't play. I know it's not a connection or audio issue, because it literally doesn't show as playing on the bottom of the screen. It is also not an issue with the browser because I downloaded the app on my phone and it is also not playing songs. I logged out of my account and create a new account with a different e-mail, and it played songs for that account...So why is my main account not allowed to listen to music anymore? I have been a loyal Spotify user for quite a while, what is going on?
