Spotify support is lying about IE11

The moderator @JuanSebastian says the new web browser was deployed a few weeks ago and the other web browsers aren't compatible any more. If that is the case... why did the play.spotify work untill yesterday? That means that the new web browser did work with play.spotify but spotify wants to force everybody onto the bad open.spotify web player.

What he said was actually correct. The new web player can be reached at open.spotify.com and the old web player (which has now been shut down) was reachable at play.spotify.com so you were still able to use the old web player in IE11 until yesterday.
