Spotify to simply Play while Serato is launched

I DJ. I mix tracks on music I own on Serato... However, I like to take a break and I would like to use my Spotify during my breaks - why can't Spotify simply play while Serato software is launched? Spotify doesn't need to mix in - just simply play and allow me to continue to use my Pioneer Controller to control the volume... I open Spotify, I hit play - and I get a message that Spotify cannot play and it happens only when Serato is operating.... I have close down Serato. And Spotify plays and I am able to use my controller to control volume... But not when Serato is open....? Help please

Please note that depending on your setup, it may not be possible for the two applications to use the same output device. Have you tried launching Serato while playing music on Spotify? Are you getting any error messages there?

Also, are you using the Microsoft Store version or the website version of the Spotify app? Try uninstalling and using the other one to see if that makes a difference.
