My Question or Issue

As my title implies, my computer (Asus Vivobook) is stuck with the 1.1.45.621.gdddebadc Spotify version.

I want it to be the newest version, can anyone help? I tried reinstalling Spotify but didn't work.

How I got the old version of Spotify is thanks to these two files that I had run but now I regret it. I used two batch files. A picture of these 2 batch files has been attached.

Hey @alxndrgbrl,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community! Don't worry we're here to help 🙂

Let us know if this issue persists once you've performed a clean reinstall on the affected device. We recommend this step since it'll get you the latest app version with all necessary updates and remove any corrupted files from previous installations. Make Sure to download the app from the MicrosoftStore as it's an official source.

Hope this is helpful but don't hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions!

You really don't want the latest version.

Can you please show us how you got your Spotify App to stick to the functional version?

Please give us those bat files. Im trying to run spicetify to change the theme, but this update broke it

@Mihail

Reinstall didn't work but somehow I got rid of the 1.1.45.621.gdddebadc version to 1.1.46.416cacf1. It's not the Microsoft Store version though because I dislike it. I believe this is not the new desktop experience because it looks nothing like it. How do I get the new desktop spotify experience?
