The Day the Music Died, Part 2: A Real Fix

The Day the Music Died, Part 2: A Real Fix

I detailed my problems in a different thread (the play arrows no longer worked on any part of my Spotify web account), and my previous "fix" was to open a new Spotify account, then link back to all my old folders.

I stumbled on a new fix, and it solved all my problems.

In Firefox, I cleared my cookies, cached content and site data, then closed and reopened Firefox. After logging in, I still had the same problem: no play arrow worked.

Then, I clicked on a random song (not on my playlist), right-clicked and copied that songs link to my clipboard. I opened another tab, pasted the link, tried the play arrow, and it worked.

Staying in this new tab, I went back to My Music, and now all my songs worked. Rubbing my eyes in disbelief, I closed and reopened Firefox . . . and everything worked from the get-go.

Even when I logged into this account from the Chrome browser, the account now worked.

I tried this routine again with the other non-working accounts I had accumulated (starting first in Firefox), and each account was eventually "liberated" with this method.
