Trying to add a playlist as artist - pasting URL does not find the playlist

My Question or Issue

Hi, we have an artist page that we're trying to add a playlist to. The playlist has been created in a private account, and we're trying to add it through the artist page. It's been successful in the past. When we paste the URL for the playlist nothing happens. Why is the spotify playlist search engine so broken? It's not possible to type in the exact name of a playlist and it get found, and now not even the URL will find it. Whyyyyyy?
And yes we've turned the computer on and off again. Yes we've read the FAQs. Yes we've trawled through other posts to find an answer.
