My Question or Issue
I can use the spotify android app on my phone and spotify web player on my desktop computer (in the Firefox browser), but the spotify desktop app will only play the current track and will not let me select any other track. On the current track, it won't even play the whole track, but plays the first 10-30 seconds and then loops back to the beginning.
If I have a queue and click on the "next" or "prev" buttons in the spotify app, nothing happens. If I click on another song in my queue, nothing happens.
When the desktop app is open, the android app and web player won't work properly either, but as soon as I close the desktop app, the web player and the android app start working again.
I have rebooted the computer and maybe one time in five the spotify desktop app will work correctly, but about four out of five times, the desktop app shows this broken behavior. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the spotify desktop app and this has not solved the problem.
