My Question or Issue

Why was the ability to move the cache removed from Spotify for the Win 11 Desktop? I need for this to be reimplemented so I can conserve SSD space.

Yes they need to re-implement this it will help you and lots of other people

I found a trick that seems to work. Using Command Prompt as Admin enter the following:

cd C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Packages\SpotifyAB.SpotifyMusic_zpdnekdrzrea0\LocalCache\Spotify
rmdir Data
mkdir D:\Caches\Win11-Spotify\Data
mklink /d Data D:\Caches\Win11-Spotify\Data

I don't know if "SpotifyAB.SpotifyMusic_zpdnekdrzrea0" is the same on every machine. And on the last line I had already created a folder structure "Caches\Win11-Spotify"

You DO have to completely empty the cache in the first line and you DON'T have to create a folder named "Data" in the last line. CP does it for you.

Well that's good I'm glade you figured it out, wish you the best of luck.
