Why was the follow button removed from artist and album pages?

My Question or Issue

 Why was the "Follow" button removed on artist and album pages? It seems odd that features people are used to and use frequently get removed; the same thing happened a few years back with the "Starred" feature. I don't want to have to keep re-learning the program and it's new replacement features for the sake of refreshing the interface. TL/DR - Please for the love of god just bring back the follow button I don't like the heart button, I like things being straightforward.

Are you on Free or Premium?

I had this briefly as well before it was rolled back. The feature also replaced the plus signs on songs with hearts and Songs (in Your Library) was changed to Favourite songs.
