When using the Xbox app on series S and series X the album art looks terrible and is very low resolution along with very high compression which looks bad at a large size on a 4k screen, this issue is not present on IOS, or desktop

I do not know if this issue happens on other platforms like smart TV or android however this issue does not occur on other music streaming apps on Xbox, I would like to see a global account or device specific quality selector for album art quality

Here are 3 pictures of the album art on the home screen and in fullscreen mode

Hi there @Xcissors,

Thanks for posting in the Community and for the photos provided!

Does the same thing happen with other album covers or just with this one? If it's others as well, it'd be great if you could send some photos of them also.

Did you notice when this started happening and have you tried some troubleshooting steps so far? It's also worth checking you have a stable internet connection, just in case.

Keep us posted.

I posed a few pictures in another comment and this happens on every album even brand new ones (that look fine on other devices) and it’s not an internet speed issue because I get about 1000mbps up and down on the device

Hey @Xcissors,

Thanks for the update!
In case you haven't already tried this, we'd recommend reinstalling the Spotify app on your Xbox to see if that would make a difference.

At this point we couldn't reproduce the issue on our end, so it's worth a shot 🙂

More info about Spotify on Xbox devices can be found here.
Hope this helps!
