Youtube overrides my media keys

My Question or Issue

Unless I click into spotify, if I have youtube open, not even the current window, tab, or on-screen, and I hit play/pause (F7 function) youtube overrides spotify. Every other key works normally. How do I make spotify override youtube on my keyboard

Worked for me as well. Chrome or better Google should not simply add such features without asking people for that behavior. Or may add it disabled an give customer the option to turn this on. That all cost me 30 min for finding this post.
