My Question or Issue

I was trying to load a bunch of .m4p songs from my computer into spotify, and they appeared in local files, but are unable to be played. The last response about this topic was in 2012, so I wanted to see if there were any current ways to fix this...

Hey there @DragonMystic

and thanks for reaching out to the community!

Seems like the issue you're having might be created over at your firewall permissions.

Please enter your Windows firewall settings and make sure you have only one Spotify.Exe program checked as approved.

If you have more than one please check only one of them and see if it helps the files to sync.

If this didn't help, please remove Spotify permission from the list, uninstall and reinstall a new updated copy of the app.

Let me know how you did 😃

I have the same problem , the music files appear on the list of local files , but if you click PLAY it comes up PAUSE for a second then back to PLAY . I'm using NORTON security and spotify.exe has the ALLOWED status on Windows 10.

Tried unistalling and reinstalling from Microsoft Store and problem persists.
