Hey! Spotify Premium useless on my PC with Windows 10. I think it's the Windows Update thing. PC thinks there's no internet, but Chrome works fine. YouTube plays fine. What should I do? Thanks.

Hey @genijus,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, we recommend you to start off with a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your device. By doing that the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can see the steps for a clean reinstall here.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather as many details as possible. Is this happening over WiFi? Ethernet? Both? Do you notice any difference if you switch the internet connection you're using? If possible, you can create a hotspot with a cellphone. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Lastly, would you mind sending us the exact Spotify version you have currently running on your computer?

Hey,

Thanks for your answer. The reinstall did not help. I'm using a big tower PC with Ryzen 9, Windows 10 Pro, ethernet connection. I just installed the newest Spofity version from the website. No WiFi on my PC, just the ethernet wire. I can listen to Spotify from Chrome browser, but the App shows the "Something went wrong" message and that's it. I tried playing with the settings of Windows, but nothing helped yet.

Hey @genijus,

Thanks for your reply and for all the info shared.

Since you mentioned you've installed the app from our web page, can you try installing the Spotify version available in the Microsoft store to see if you notice any difference? You can uninstall the app by following the steps shared in the link above, to erase all the files in your computer. Then, you can install the Microsoft version one. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

On another note, if the inconvenience persists,  did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details.

Lastly, it might be worth to check for any local settings on your device that could be blocking the app. In case there's an antivirus software or such that could be restricting access to the app, try whitelisting Spotify.

Hello,

I can not enter the desktop app at all. This screen appears right after log in. Hitting the Reload page does nothing.

Playing through web browser works.

I have tried logging in and out, un-installing, re-installing, and force close.

Trying to access any part of the app does not change this screen, I am not in Offline Mode.

This only recently started occurring and the issue described here is the closest thing I can find to my exact problem.
Is there anything else I can try?
