[All Platforms] Album Art for each Track in a playlist

View as Album List was a great feature. Based on comments I have seen on other forums, I am not the only one who thinks so. Please restore this feature.

Reasons:

1) Images are much easier to see than text. I have reached the age of reading glasses. Before this feature was removed, I could easily find songs / albums in playlists. Now I have to find my glasses beforehand!

2) Images are much more compelling and attractive than text. A picture tells a thousand words etc. The whole look and feel of Spotify is enhanced through the use of album images. Removing them seems like going against good user experience practice.

3) Nostalgia. Although I love Spotify and I firmly believe that subscription is the future of music, I still feel some nostalgia for "possessing" a collection of albums. Displaying album covers reinforces the feeling of having a collection of albums in a playlist.

Note that all three arguments apply equally to desktop and iPad versions of Spotify.

November 2013: Response to the comments from Spotify...

- There is no need for a cmd+G control. All playlists should always display the album cover.

- The Collections product was announced almost a year ago but there is no sign of it.

- A Collections product that simply displays the thousands of albums that I have ever listened to is not a viable solution in my opinion. I would need multiple collections (i.e.. playlists).

For 2017, make some New Years resolutions:

- Album art in list vews.

- Volume slider on the top level of the player interface.

- Lyric funtion, built in to the app.

- Fuction parity across all platforms.

I have been a user of Apple Music since it started and I like the way that (in playlist view) the artwork of the song is displayed next to the song in the list (screenshot below). It makes searching through your library for songs much quicker since it is far easier to recognise music based on it's artwork + song information, rather than song info alone.

Bumping this. I keep running into the collection limit. I would prefer to use playlists instead to keep things more separated, but I don't use playlists because I don't want to view my album collection as a list of songs. Being able to view a playlist as a list of albums would be great. I love Spotify, but between the collection limit and the lack of more granular ways to organize and browse by album collection, I have started looking for alternatives.

I wish there was a button in Browse/Disover called something different. I feel that playlists kinda make the Discover algorithm stale after awhile.

When you restore, give the option to turn on or off. Sometimes it's nice to have more room for text. So songs in the list would have no art or you can turn it on to have little thumbnails next to them.

SPOTIFY LISTEN TO WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT!

How hard can it be to implement an option to sort your playlists by a list or grid. I recently switched to spotify from appled music, but am tempted to return SOLEY because of this feature (or lack of). If I make a playlist of music I want to listen to at a given time, I dont want to scroll through endless songs to find the album or artist I want, just put in a darn option to sort a playlist as grid view so I can pick the album/artist I want to get to quickly....

I have a playlist of almost a 1000 songs and only thing I remember is the album cover. I have tried to listen to each one but is 1000 songs!. besides it looks neat with the album covers.
