[All Platforms] Album Art for each Track in a playlist

View as Album List was a great feature. Based on comments I have seen on other forums, I am not the only one who thinks so. Please restore this feature.

Reasons:

1) Images are much easier to see than text. I have reached the age of reading glasses. Before this feature was removed, I could easily find songs / albums in playlists. Now I have to find my glasses beforehand!

2) Images are much more compelling and attractive than text. A picture tells a thousand words etc. The whole look and feel of Spotify is enhanced through the use of album images. Removing them seems like going against good user experience practice.

3) Nostalgia. Although I love Spotify and I firmly believe that subscription is the future of music, I still feel some nostalgia for "possessing" a collection of albums. Displaying album covers reinforces the feeling of having a collection of albums in a playlist.

Note that all three arguments apply equally to desktop and iPad versions of Spotify.

November 2013: Response to the comments from Spotify...

- There is no need for a cmd+G control. All playlists should always display the album cover.

- The Collections product was announced almost a year ago but there is no sign of it.

- A Collections product that simply displays the thousands of albums that I have ever listened to is not a viable solution in my opinion. I would need multiple collections (i.e.. playlists).

Enough is enough ! The developers of spotify are incompetent. I've been a premium client for 3 years and wait for this basic but important feature. I am fed up with this and stop my subscription and try another streaming platform !

This is not a difficult implementation.

What are you waiting for?

It seems like you havent updated your app and its functionality in years.

This in an environment where interface updates usually happen every six months.

And remember, you are one of the premier music providers.

You are not some Mom and Pop operation.

You are supposed to be the best in the world.

Please act accordingly.

But to seriously; come on @SpotDevs, album art in music collections are a need to have, unimaginable not to have (actually). It's not even a feature actually, it's so basic because it is a big part of experiencing music collecting, relocating and listening. 

Especially for the visual oriented people around (or i.e. dyslexia); I myself hardly ever remember a track by artist, song name or album. It's the album covers that I remember most.

The forementioned link's mockup images are so hot! Pls implement this asap!! Make me an even prouder Spotify user again! It will improve my life greatly 😉

Yes Guys,

It appears that Spotify is making progress (at glacial speed) in the improvement of this UI omission.

Or simply play the Teen Party playlist.

It has the new interface which includes thumbnails in the list view.

All it needs now is a volume slider in the new interface and I will stop complaining.

Come on Spotify! Apply it globally, pronto please!

This has only been implemented on the mobile platform.

It works in iOS. Im not sure about Android.

Try that.

And then please bug Spotify to roll it out across the entire system!

 Would love somthing that looks like this without having to use a jailbreak as it stops functioning on the latest versions so I can't update. it just looks so much better and is so much easier to find songs with the album art next to the song name, I hope this idea is implemented one day for all to enjoy.
