[All Platforms][Music] HiFi Quality - Lossless Streaming 16bit 44.1khz

I've just started a trial of Qobuz - they offer the standard 320kbps as well as lossless FLAC streaming (and high res downloads if you purchase them) the sound quality is noticeably better and on classical it's just wonderful to get all that resolution through your hi-fi or headphones! The catalogue has a way to go to get to Spotify's level, but they are getting there. The iPad app isn't' too bad (the desktop app is in need of an upgrade but I hear they are putting all their efforts into mobile apps right now).

So - lossless streaming - if Qobuz can do it then so can Spotify, they must have the same source - and obviously if you are asking £20 a month then those record labels and distributors take enough notice to make the high res tracks available for streaming. What this all means is soon, very soon, we will get lossless streaming and closely followed by high res downloads - but if Spotify aren't careful it will be Apple who get there first with an audiophile premium offering, and when they do it will be a much harder market place to make money in!

I'm delighted to say Lossless is now rolling out. It will happen gradually, to more than 50 markets through October. Premium subscribers in Australia, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, the US, and the UK have already started to get access.

translated; we don't know how to do it or we just don't want to do it now.

Maybe Spotify needs to hire external migration specialists. This is taking to long. Over 4 years now. Doubt if we ever get lossless. Sad though since the App/system integration of Spotify is superior compared to Tidal. But overall I am happy with Tidal apart from the monthly price (paying 30 euro a month for two accounts lol)

I would love to have that option of listening HiFi (Lossless Audio Quality). I have a subscription with Spotify and Tidal. I hear the difference when I'm using my high-end headphones which is most of the time. Some difference in the car but seriously only with certain music. Quality is important to me as I'm sure it's with many others. Can only hope Spotify takes it up a notch. I'll be honest the AI of Spotify has me dialled in!

I would switch back to Spotify instantly if this happened. Spotify isn't perfect, but it's better than Tidal in almost every way except audio fidelity. I'm quite convinced that much of Tidal's user base has a similar feeling. Tidal isn't a service we love using, it's a clunky, inconvenient platform we put up with in order to get lossless audio.

Granted, there's not a lot of us out there who care that much about this, mainly just hifi enthusiasts and audio professionals, but the fact that Tidal still exists is proof that we exist, and that we're willing to pay.

Tidal has exactly zero serious competitors in the HiFi streaming niche, and their user experience shows it. We want a good alternative.

Ok time for me switch to Deezer HIFI. Thx for a answer spotify...not.

Spotify- It would be in your best interest to bring HiFi listening to your already great product. You would literally steal all the audiophiles from Tidal by storm. A real music lover listens to music, truely listens to the snaps and guitar fret movements, crisp clear and precise sound. Simply listen to an LP of your favorite band and you will soon see why HiFi Audio is a no-brainer. I love Spotify the way it is but still long for that leap of making a system like Sonos truely sound the way it was intended, not compressed, unaltered pure and true sound. I have already ventured into Tidal for a short time and realized it's interfacing was garbage compared to yours, however their sound was much better. Please do it!

I really wish Spotify would try to implement a higher quality playback.

I listen to Tidal and notice the difference in quality. However, Spotify has a much better library of music and if they offered Higher playback resolution, I bet they would get more listeners switching to them.

Please bring FLAC/Lossless!  I’m a long time subscriber of Spotify on a trial of Tidal and I love the quality.  Don’t want to switch but I’m seriously considering it!

Well, I've decided to cancel my Spotify Premium account today. I've been listening to Tidal's 90 day trial and will be staying with Tidal Hi-Fi now for the long run. Sorry Spotify, but many of us have been waiting long enough. If you're not going to give us what others are offering, we'll simply go elsewhere.

I will jump to Apple if they offer lossless first but would like to stay with Spotify.  This is a great idea that has a customer base... If Tidal had a better selection I would still be using them.
