[Android][Other] Increase bitrate in Android Automotive

The playback in Android Automotive (not to be confused with Android Auto) in Polestar 2 is poor due to low bitrate in the Spotify app. Please either increase the hardcoded bitrate in the app or make the bitrate a user configurable setting in the app.

Note that YouTube Music uses higher bitrate and sounds better on Android Automotive. You should rectify your low bitrate on Android Automotive before too many people migrate to YouTube Music.

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange and voting to make this happen.

We're happy to announce that an audio quality picker is now available on Android Automotive.

Once again, thanks for helping us make Spotify better, by participating here on the Community.

Hello and thanks for bringing your feedback to the Idea Exchange. We've marked this as a new idea.
Spotify Staff will look into this idea once it reaches the necessary amount of votes.

More information about how the Spotify Idea Exchange works can be found here.

I totally agreed with you

Spotify staff (looking at your status update): This isn't really an idea. Using a crappy bitrate like in the current app is more of an insult, and should be considered a bug rather than a new idea. Not that it matters as long as you fix it ASAP. Should take you 10 minutes, tops.

Why has this not been implemented from the beginning? This is 2020 and 320 should be the standard. I am switching to Youtube music until this has been resolved

This should be considered a bug as should have been implemented from the beginning.

We really need this! I will be switching to Youtube Music until this has been resolved.
