[Android] Swipe to Queue a Track

Firstly let me say I have been using Spotify since it launched here in the US and have seen a lot of great improvements over the years. Great job!

I am a music listener who likes to let the current track play out before starting a new one.
I love what you have done on the iOS side with swipe to queue.

Can you show Android some love and put this story in your backlog? 🙂

Thanks for listening!

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange and voting to make this happen.

We're happy to announce that this feature is now rolling out on Android devices. If you don't see it yet, don't worry as it will be available for you soon. Just make sure to keep your app up to date.

Once again, thanks for helping us make Spotify better, by participating here on the Community.

I agree. Spotify is absolutely useless for not having implemented this
already.
Android users should just move over to Apple Music.

Spotify, you're abandoning all of your Android users asking for this simple, most necessary feature. I have just recently switched to Android from iOS and I can't believe how much worse the UI is for the Spotify Android app. You have over 1000 votes on this issue from years ago and you continue to ignore your passionate user's pleas. Why would you not give an equal experience to every user? Please implement this ASAP or give us an actual legitimate reason as to why you won't. Don't continue to leave us all in the dark. This is a joke.

PLEASE DO THIS! I'm gonna get in an accident while driving because I'm trying to Queue songs. Its really frustrating it used to be so easy on my iPhone and now I feel gipped by spotify because I have an android.

It is such an elementary feature you would expect such a renowned app like Spotify to have, it's not like an android OS is an extraterrestrial being in the phone community, so why has it not been pushed forward?  **bleep**, why is the Android version of Spotify even different/worse to the IOS in the first place?  It's not like it's a niche market??  How has it been swept away for 5 whole years now?

Edit: It is literally the 4th most requested feature in the Android section..

Just switched to Android from iOS and i cannot believe how bad the Spotify UI is for Android. Please reconsider adding this ASAP

Ok come the **bleep** on now it can't be that hard to tell a couple dudes working on the coding to just add the simple "swipe to add to queue feature"... As someone who has just come from the iPhone/Apple ecosystem, it really bums me out that such simple feature is yet to be implemented. And it's not like you don't have it programmed either for the reason I just mentioned. If this feature is not implemented soon I will be looking for an alternative service. It's that much of a deal breaker for me to not have that simple yet vital to my user experience. If a developer sees this, please do me and the community a favour and explain why this feature can't be implemented on Android without it being "we're not looking at this right now" since it has obviously being in the radar since 2015.

Just switched from Apple to Android against the wishes of many friends. I love my pixel. This is probably the biggest let down of the whole switch. It is stupidly time consuming to queue a song in Android. It is unsafe while driving as it require much more attention than the swipe in iOS. PLEASE CHANGE. This is easily my biggest gripe with Spotify right now.

I don't understand why this is so hard to fix. I can't comprehend why this feature would be included on an iPhone but not Android. And why your "plans" revolve around something so miniscule as this.

Gekonody

This has been requested for what, five years now? Why is this not yet implemented?

There is no excuse for spotify to not have this feature on android by now. Android is by far the larger and more popular platform among freemium and premium users. No wonder why they can't catch up to pandora, they dont appreciate their customers.
