Better Section for new releases and popular albums.

The current "what's new" section is terrible. please add a section with an in depth list of new releases, and what is currently popular. Along with a larger recommended music section.

It also lets you chose "this week" "last week" "two weeks ago"

i love listening to new music, so i'd love for spotify to implement this. the current "What's New" page is just 4 or 5 albums highlighted for months, and 12 albums over the past week or two. It's bad. Baaaad. I hate it.

Definitely agree, Rdio and iTunes have much better "New releases" features.

It would be enough to see more albums than the few currently displayed!

I would really like to see archived lists of the new releases (by week, etc). I was listening to an artist directly from the new relases screen but they were gone the next day (when the new releases updated). I am desperately trying to track down the artist but can't do it!

This idea become just more relevant than ever. Witht he new 'Discover' tab and 'What's new' gone there is very limited information available only on newly added releases. It was already only minimal before now it is kind of ridiculous. Napster did send out lists with newly added releases DAILY as far as I remember. That's really something I miss.

This idea is GREAT and needs to be followed up on asap. I am very annoying that 'What's New' is gone. Even though it was limited, at least it was something. PLEASE get something back up that shows new music releases. I am getting close to canceling my Spotify subscription since that was the main feature I used every day and loved it.

Right, I've just been sent here. This idea has been floating around for a year now. Has anything actually been done here or are we just going to keep posting about this. Perhaps somebody could build an app for this, attach it to Spotify, and notify all of us about it.

This is also my first time to the fourms to provide this example. 

I follow an Artist called Owen. Spotify added his new record, L'Ami du Peuple. I didn't recevie any notification. I don't often go to the Artist's page if I've been listening to them for years. I add the tracks to sorted playlists. So, it was just by chance that I went to his page to find the new record. This is very furstrating. 

The old page provided a way for me to check if any of my artists have released new material. It also served as a great way to find new music. I listened to everything that was new. I gave everything a try. That is how I found 70% of my new music.

The new discovery page doesn't provide me with anything. If I wanted suggestions I would browse the related artists, and then branch out two or three artists.
