[Country] Spotify in Ukraine

Hi Spotify team!

When watching Eurovision on TV in Stockholm this year I couldn't but think why Spotify is not yet registered in Ukraine? Eurovision 2017 in Ukraine would be a great marketing kick-start for the app in this country. Unlike Russia's personal data laws, Ukraine has no such restrictions of keeping the data only in Ukraine, so one large chunk of a problem is away. 

Although I currently live in Finland (relocating soon to Stockholm), I have test run the idea on my Ukrainian relatives/ friends/ partners etc. and it'd be successful there. Similarly to Russia and all the illegal music streaming through social media and online sources, there is a shift among user behavior - preference to have access to lots of good quality music all the time at any place.

I`m using Spotify in Ukraine (through Turkey) for 6 months, 3 of them with Premium. I know many of ukrainians with same view of situation.

I believe that launching of service in my country will be positive for all of us.

Guys, Ukraine is waiting for you!

I always insist on using legal services to listen to music and promote Spotify among my friends as the best streaming platform. But how can I engage them into Spotify if it's still not available in my country? If it's easier for them to download pirate music than fighting with VPN to get access to Spotify.

Ok, there are several similar services (and even cheaper) as Google or Apple Play, Deezer. But I cannot suggest them to my friends without using them. And who knows if I start using, let's say Google Play, will I go back to Spotify again? I'm too lazy to sync playlists back and forth 😉

The moment YouTube Music improves its sound quality up to 256 kbps there won't be any opportunity for you to make money in Ukraine.

It's about time you come to Ukraine and other CIS countries. I've been waiting for five years now. I mean come on, is it really that hard? I want to get a premium at a reasonable price without having to mess around with paying through other countries, VPN and stuff. I don't like apple music, it's slow and it's interface is just awful. But there is no other decent alternatives anyway. Youtube music/play music sucks too.
You guys are already in Poland and Romania, are CIS countries that hard to launch in compared to other neigboring european countries?

Well, it kinda is and kinda isn't.

To answer your question directly:
What does it have to do with CIS? We are pretty much on the same level as
other CIS countries, so I'm all for those countries getting Spotify too,
nearly simultaneously. Am I in the wrong for that?
I mean, imagine the kind of shitshow there's gonna be when Russia/Belarus
gets it and Ukraine doesn't. Or the other way around.

Well, I wouldn't compare Ukraine to Belarus. In my opinion, Belarus would be the last country that did get Spotify alongside Moldova.  I mean there are Serbia or Croatia as well that are not in the supported country list. However, as far as I know, Spotify has confirmed they gonna launch its service in Russia and India soon. So the last thing remaining is to hope that Ukraine's gonna be included either.

Well a year is gone and nothing changed 

I Love Spotify in Austria, but its **bleep** for me in vacation not beeing able to listen to my Favorite musik as i usualy do
