[Desktop][Other] Full-size album artwork

Musicians put in a lot of effort to their album artwork, so it's a shame that on our desktop devices with nice screens we can't see then in higher resolution than a handful of hundred pixels square. See attachement for a proposed screen – click on a piece of album art while in album view (currently this does nothing) and see it expanded to the size of the spotify window.

YES this has been annoying me for a long time, why not bring it into the desktop app since you already have it on mobile devices, PLEASE DO. I WANT IT. Now. 😉 Love that this is up, more should vote for it!!!! Love that artists show a bit of themselves but miss it in desktop mode.

I would want a fullscreen album art like on Tidal. Right now, Spotify's full screen is absolutely horrible showing awful content in the background with tiny album artwork compacted on the left.

I want to see the beautiful album artwork as big as possible, not some dudes in the garden!!!!!

This is already the second submission on this issue - the older one had reached the "your feedback is now reaching the internal teams at Spotify" status almost a year ago. No word of Spotify on that, this is a god damn joke.

Full-size album artwork existed for a long time (inside the fullscreen mode), and Spotify just exchanged it with the random background picture of the respective artist page.

Spotify, this is such a simple task. All we ask of you is to give us back a simple picture option for which you have the code already anyways. But no, instead of caring just a little bit about your customers you're ghosting us for 10 months and now you tell us that you "send" the feedback to the internal teams for something that you're pretending to be already aware of. This just shows how they really couldn't care any less about us. This thread will never achieve anything - they know about this request and already chose to ignore it.

Man, album covers were and still are such a vital part of a (full length) music listening experience. We really reached that point in time where even the most fundamental principals can be washed away by pure ignorance and greed, huh. Maybe they just want us to stop to enjoy listening to a piece of work for too long? Gotta boost that shuffle traffic for more balanced stats to make the shareholders happy. Now it's the album art, next time it'll be the abillity to upload an album with over 10 songs. And then how about a song length limit of 5 minutes?

I really hope that these premonitions keep on sounding as ludicrous as they still do now.

Well anyways, as everybody concluded in the prior thread: Just move over to TIDAL. Or basically any other music streaming service, because they all still offer simple features like this one.

I am hoping it happens one day, maybe tomorrow, or tomorrow's tomorrow, I am sticking with Spotfiy, I like their way of playlisting and music advice that pops up better than the rest, even though I buy albums too hihihi in apple and real life.  😃 🙂

But sad to see people leave. It is not the biggest thing. The audio I get, but ....honestly the shorts and so, **bleep** i just realised another thing that is odd, the store thing. Oh well, that will be fine someday too.
