[Discover] Please add a "Not Interested" Button

As the title suggests, it would be useful if Spotify had a "not interested" button like YouTube does for videos. I have been using Spotify for many years and still receive a lot of recommendations for playlists and podcasts that I am simply not interested in. One such example is "Learn Korean and Korean Culture" by jerry. I have no interest in learning Korean whatsoever, so it would be useful for me to remove recommendations such as these.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all the support and feedback you've given to this idea!

We have some exciting news to share with you: in the mobile app, it's now possible to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of your Home screen by tapping Not interested in the context menu of the cards:

The content you mark as "not interested" will instantly be removed from your subfeed and won't show up again. Any other songs/albums/episodes by that artist/podcast show will also be filtered out from future recommendations.

After tapping Not interested, an Undo button will pop up at the bottom of the screen for a short time so you can revert the changes.

Keep in mind that this feature is gradually rolling out, so if you don't see the button in the context menu of the cards, we'd recommend making sure that you're running the latest version of Spotify. If you're having trouble with, or have any other questions about this feature, feel free to reach out in the relevant Help board here.

Thanks again for helping us make Spotify better. We're always striving to provide the best possible user experience and your feedback is always appreciated.

This "implementation" isn't working

Yesterday I was listening to a podcast I actually subscribe and listen to. When the episode finished SPotify started AUTOPLAYING a podcast I don't follow, haven't liked and do NOT want to listen to because "its under recommended podcasts for you"

There is no DO NOT LIKE button, there is no NOT INTERESTED button.
There is no physical way for me to stop this podcast, remove this podcast, block the author or the podcast.
If you don't fix this monstrosity where you are FORCE playing stuff we do not want, i will leave forever

Don’t bother, nobody is listening.

I’ve been on this thread for months and they just don’t **bleep**

I think the answer is that they are afraid that everyone would block Joe Rogan’s podcast from showing up on our homepage if they truly enabled this feature.

Where would that put them with the ridiculous contract they signed with him?

This is not available to me and it's driving me nuts having podcasts I don't want to listen to anymore appearing on my home page. Why tell us a feature has been released when it's obvious it doesn't work?! I get you're working at a huge scale, but this is why you pay your product managers the big bucks to write proper acceptance criteria and check they have been met.

Also not available here in Germany (tested on iOS and web).
Please add/fix this feature, Spotify!

This doesn't fix the issue.  Home or Music tab there are  6 suggested artists/playlists at the top.  3 of them I listened to once, didn't follow or save and even marked as don't play this artist but they STILL show up.  There is no Not Interested menu for those 6 blocks.  They need ... options as well as the panels listed as your scroll.  Please fix.

This is a ridiculous problem. Spotify needs to check its nonsense fiddling with podcasts and audiobooks and let people use a music app as a music app.

I played “Pride Playlist 2023” once during pride month and now I can’t get rid of it. There’s no option to exclude that playlist. Fast forward months later, plug my phone into the car, and Spotify outs me to my family?? Come on, this is completely ridiculou

Status "implemented" yet it isn't actually implemented. What gives?

I can only mark artists as "not interested" the option is not available for podcasts or albums.

Why? The podcasts are what irritate me and I'd really like to start thinning them out so "maybe" the algorithm gets the message.

sage_cat

This is not solving the problem. We don't want to have to look at podcasts that we aren't interested in.
