[Discover] Please add a "Not Interested" Button

As the title suggests, it would be useful if Spotify had a "not interested" button like YouTube does for videos. I have been using Spotify for many years and still receive a lot of recommendations for playlists and podcasts that I am simply not interested in. One such example is "Learn Korean and Korean Culture" by jerry. I have no interest in learning Korean whatsoever, so it would be useful for me to remove recommendations such as these.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all the support and feedback you've given to this idea!

We have some exciting news to share with you: in the mobile app, it's now possible to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of your Home screen by tapping Not interested in the context menu of the cards:

The content you mark as "not interested" will instantly be removed from your subfeed and won't show up again. Any other songs/albums/episodes by that artist/podcast show will also be filtered out from future recommendations.

After tapping Not interested, an Undo button will pop up at the bottom of the screen for a short time so you can revert the changes.

Keep in mind that this feature is gradually rolling out, so if you don't see the button in the context menu of the cards, we'd recommend making sure that you're running the latest version of Spotify. If you're having trouble with, or have any other questions about this feature, feel free to reach out in the relevant Help board here.

Thanks again for helping us make Spotify better. We're always striving to provide the best possible user experience and your feedback is always appreciated.

Implemented.. but doesn’t even work. It will still show the things that you’re not interested in.
Gray thumb and all.

Spotify seems to just be keeping face by adding a half-baked feature to make it seem like they listen. We know they don’t.

Or else they wouldn’t leave such simple things as the removal of podcasts or certain artists for our own profile, on our own account, that we pay for, out of the equation. At one point Spotify was fine on a HP laptop I used to own back when Spotify first started coming around for in 2015-16. Phone constantly switching to repeat when connecting via USB in my car is something that’s been 8+ years and still isn’t fixed, but I digress. I never really had a problem with it besides that. Now I have things shoved in my face that I don’t want/need nor do I have the interest in. I’d rather the home-screen just not load at all than be bombarded. I open the app, tap “My Library”, select a playlist. I CAN’T BE ANYMORE CLEARER.

I have discovered my tween listened to some erotic adult short stories a couple of weeks ago that are not marked with an E so even with explicit content turned off, he could still access them! I discovered this because a new episode came up in his recommendations and I saw it on his screen. So I wanted to block it from coming up for him again but there is literally no way to do this, and I discovered that many other adult-content podcasts are not marked E either. To find out how much damage had been done, and not wanting to feed his algorithm any further, I listened through it on my own account (definitely NOT appropriate for a 12-year-old!) and now it's coming up in my home page too! This is simply unacceptable, it's unsafe for young people and it's absolutely infuriating that there's no way to block or remove this content for my son or myself.

This feature doesn't work

Every day I open Spotify to see the same terrible suggestions that I mark as not interested (they seem to disappear right when I click "not interested" but when I reopen the app, all the albums and playlists I have marked as not interested are displayed again). I even blocked the "artists" and the playlists/ albums still show up

Also there are quite a few tiles that I can't even say I'm not interested in such as popular albums, discover more from x (in my case an artist that I've blocked months ago) and plenty**bleep**, I've disliked or blocked

Aren't you getting enough money from the subscriptions? Do you really need to compromise the integrity of your service by removing all user agency?

**bleep** this greedy corporation

I can't even see the "Not Interested" Button for Shows/Podcasts in my mobile app. Have been trying to remove a podcast from my suggestions for a while, found no way to do it so far.

I hate services that treat me like a child that can't decide on its own what it likes and doesn't like.
Glad there are alternatives I can turn back to once my subscription runs out.

I agree, it seems this feature has faded away. I no longer see this option. Spotify, please fix this.

Why do I have to keep clicking on "not interested" only to be offered the same shitty podcasts every day? That makes no sense. Are you too stupid at Spotify or just too ignorant and arrogant?
