Seriously, Flash is like USB 1.0 right now. Also, in my case, having to use Linux at work without superuser powers means HTML is the way to go.
Flash is already dead. Major browsers already start to think about dropping flash and I also disabled flash everywhere some time ago. So in about a year the Spotify Webplayer probably won't work anymore and theres no other choise than moving to HTML5.
Google Chrome and Firefox will block Flash player in this year. Then Spotify web player worked anymore so Spotify web player must be change to HTML5.
just another angry comment about flash.
+1 for HTML 5 web player
Here's a thing. Chrome has about 40-50% of desktop browser share worldwide, and during December Google will do this to nearly all Flash content within Chrome v55;

No pressure, Spotify.
Here's the "problem" with html5, there's no DRM.
Obviously DRM is the problem, but we're dealing with dinosaurs here, or more like, Spotify has to deal with them.
Ah, then there no reason to keep using flash I see.
HEY SPOTIFY ... ARE YOU THERE???? Make Spotify player HTML5 like a good thing there... cheers!
PS Dont be sneaky and block off XBOX ONE browsing when you do get the thumbs out on this 🙂

Hey everyone! We can confirm this very popular idea is now fully implemented. The new Web Player uses HTML5 technologies solely. Thanks for your continued feedback in the Idea Exchange!
