I confirm that the player seemes to be flash free. The URL has changed also
I am trying to access https://play.spotify.com/, but this address still requires Flash.
It seemed to be temperamental yestertday. On first posting yesterday it was working absolutely fine, then appeared to revert back to Flash, weirdly.
The url is https://open.spotify.com
Is working today on desktop, but yesterday tried on lg webos tv browser and it shows only a list of playlists, when I clicked any, it redirect to play.spotify.com and ask for flash support.
More it seems that Spotify implement Flash because has exclusivity to PS4... 😄
I used to be able to get the Spotify web player to work on my office workstation (a wyse unit, not a laptop or desktop) and it worked beautifully. Since an upgrade however, it won't work now and keeps telling me to install or update Adobe. This seems ridiculous, given how old and outdated Adobe is, but more frustratingly is the fact that my workplace dont allow me to install or update applications - so I cannot update Adobe nor can I download the spotify application. I've even had IT checking into this for me today and they said there's nothing they can do - but what is sooooo annoying is that it was fine last week. Considering I pay for the premium version of Spotify and I use it pretty much all the time, I'm not happy that I cannot use it where I need it most (i.e. at work, when I need to get things done and drown out everything else around me). I don't care how you do it, but please get this fixed asap - and if this HTML5 thing will work, then let's do that... please! Thank you
I'm able to use the new HTML5 web player when using Opera and Chrome, but there is not luck when using other browsers. It sucks, as in my office they only use Microsoft Edge and the system does not allow me to install any other web browser.
Its a shame that Spotify ignores this, 4 years later after the request and its still not available. DRM is not a problem if Netflix and even google can skip flash.
I'm also pissed that on my work computer i cant play the music i want.
Please get some **bleep** and get this done. Even if its legal issue you guys are big and can do it if you really put your mind to it.
Hi,
Where is the html5 version of "play", I don't wanna install Flash, thanks 😉

Hey everyone! We can confirm this very popular idea is now fully implemented. The new Web Player uses HTML5 technologies solely. Thanks for your continued feedback in the Idea Exchange!
