Integrate HTML5 with play.spotify.com

With the new Xbox one coming out and it not supporting flash, I believe Spotify needs to revamp their play.spotify.com site to support HTML5 also, flash is a bit old, isn't it? I think this will greatly improve the experience on the site as well. <br><br>Thank you.

Hey everyone! We can confirm this very popular idea is now fully implemented.  The new Web Player uses HTML5 technologies solely. Thanks for your continued feedback in the Idea Exchange!

In general html5 is good but for desktops with Linux is the best option to Spotify, YouTube and all media

when will you implent it ?

Can't use the web player because I've purged Flash from any browser I'll touch with a 10 foot pole.  I believe even the Mac desktop client requires some silly Adobe flash-like framework (why?) so I can't use the desktop client either.

I'm back on Google Music, which has always been an html5 player AFAIK.  Bye, Spotify!  It was fun!

For god's sake spotify I'm sick of re-enabling the flash plugin each time I go to your website 😄

Still no HTML5 support? Please - spotify and twitch are THE two websites, that keep flash alive. Poor website.

WIth all the security flaws in Flash, there is no point on having this on the Computer or in the Browser anymore. Instead of begging here for a "Rethink" of the strategy, I need to suggest to others a different streaming Service.

Maybe, sometimes in the future there is a Web Service without Flash, then its worth reconsidering.

Please make this happen, Spotify. I don't use Flash anymore on any of my computers, so this makes Spotify a mobile-only option for me. If this doesn't change, I'll have to jump ship to Google Play Music.

HTML5 support please, before Christmas the 24th.
