I would Certainly appreciate this on Mac!

I'm so impressed that Spotify is always listening.

Please extend Jam to the desktop.

Yeah, I really need this to be implemented. My home speaker system is connected to my PC and my PC is my primary media center. It is annoying to have to send people a link and use the mobile app instead of letting them connect to my home wifi and automatically connect it to the jam, or just send a link to them through my spotify friends list. Just have them get a notification to open the spotify app and join not have to text them a link using my phone then switch to playing from PC.

I am the same I use my Laptop and headphones as my primary listening device, a lot of my friends like to listen to music together so it would be great if it was on PC and Mac desktop apps

Once this gets implemented for PC client(s), please don't overlook the Linux Desktop Client.

I also am a Linux user. It's encouraging to see support for Jam on desktop
machines. I hope it gets attention.

Hello,

Any news ?

This functionnality is missing since a veeeery long time,

and I would like to know when it will be implemented.

I use this functionnality at work, and switch between phone and computer + "try to send a link" from the phone to my desktop is very annoying.

Regards.

This NEEDS to be a thing. Listening along to music with discord friends is a must and to lose those minutes/taste updates on Spotify to a bot in discord sucks. Let me listen along with friends with full control of queue for all parties!

Kinda glad that you can sorta work around it by changing what device is outputting the content (without changing the actual device), which also lets you control and add content there (which means there's already the core functionality there, at least for the Non-Windows Store app), but the fact this has been around for this long and the desktop version doesn't have it officially supported is extremely short sighted and completely invalidates a massive user base for absolutely zero reason.

Now, I'm more than willing to listen to a dev explain why this couldn't be implemented in the first place, but we all know that I have a higher chance of being elected President of the US as a Canadian citizen than that ever happening.

Side note: Love that this has gained almost 450 votes in under 6 months (meaning this should be marked as a "Live Suggestion" and be brought forward to the team, as per Spotify's own FAQ
"Live Idea

Ideas that have gathered 180 +Votes in under 6 months get this status and they are brought to the attention of the Spotify team.")  and hasn't been updated since 20 days after the posting went live.. So much interactivity from the mods..

even then this solution is really janky and ive had issues of it disconnecting and outputting content from my pc instead. i had to keep my phone open to spotify or it would close out automatically eventually. it really just needs its own implementation which spotify is dragging its feet on for no discernible reason. ive even heard of some third party apps enabling users to have listening parties on pc, generally to mixed results, so i really dont see why it would be impossible for spotify to add officially
