It's been a while since Spotify has become a mass service used here in Catalonia. For years, different users have asked if it would be possible to have the different Spotify apps available in Catalan, our language.

It's not hard to have the desktop apps (Win, Mac, Linux, Web) and the mobile apps (Android, iOS, Windows Phone...) translated into Catalan. A lot of other services and apps have included Catalan years ago (services and products from Google, Apple, Microsoft, Mozilla... already include it).

We understand that Spotify AB has enough resources to translate their apps and services to Catalan. Why Belgians, Canadians and Swiss can have the apps in two different languages and in Spain there is only one option? Why people in Andorra don't have the option to choose their official language, Catalan?

It's a shame you cannot translate your app to Catalan. We are a community of 10 milion people. Apple Music and Google Play Music already do. Do not ignore us.

Hi all,

I am considering to subscribe to an online music streaming platform. One of my criteria to choose is the availability of user interfaces in my own language and the fact that the platform addresses to me in this language, which is catalan. At this moment this is preventing me from subscribing to Spotify. 

Let us know any news about this proposal to eventually reconsider!

Què més s'ha de fer per a que fotin algo els de Spotify?! Jo mateix m'ofereixo a traduir la aplicació per tal de poder utilitzar-la en la meva llengua.

Spotify está bien que se pueda usar en muchos países. Pero sería interesante e importante si pudiera cambiar el idioma dentro de un país. Por ejemplo, en España se hablan diferentes idiomas, una idea sería poder usarlo en gallego, euskera o catalán. Son tres idiomas destacados en España y que la gente usa en su vida diaria.

It's good that Spotify can be used in many countries. But it would be interesting and important if you could change the language within a country. For example, in Spain different languages are spoken, one idea would be to be able to use it in Galician, Basque or Catalan. These are three languages that are prominent in Spain and that people use in their daily lives.

Spotify ondo **bleep** herrialde askotan erabili ahal izatea. Baina interesgarria eta garrantzitsua izango litzateke hizkuntza aldatzea herrialde baten barruan. Adibidez, Espainian hizkuntza desberdinak hitz egiten dira, ideia bat galegoz, euskaraz edo katalanez erabili ahal izatea litzateke. Espainian hiru hizkuntza aipagarri dira eta jendeak bere eguneroko bizitzan erabiltzen ditu.

The Catalan language has around 10 million users. People who can speak and understand some degree of it. An organisation as big as Spotify should take this into account in order to provide a home-like interface in the language of this amount of users. Is it blindness? Or is it something else? Go on, take the plunge!

We are over 10 million speakers. Our language is spoken by thousands of artists who use this application to make themselves known, and we are one of the communities that uses it the most. However, our language is discriminated, our linguistic rights are violated, and we can't use Spotify in Catalan.

Many companies included Catalan years ago (services and products from Google, Microsoft, Apple or Facebook already include it).

For these reasons, we ask for the addition of our language to the interface of their application.

Som més de 10 milions de parlants. La nostra llengua està representada per milers d'artistes que fan ús d'aquesta aplicació per donar-se conèixer i som una de les comunitats que més la utilitza. Tot i això, la nostra llengua està discriminada, se'ns vulneren els nostres drets lingüístics i no podem fer ús de Spotify en català.

Fa molts anys que productes d'empreses com Google, Microsoft, Apple o Facebook ja l'han inclòs.

Per aquestes raons, demanem que s'afegeixi la nostra llengua a la interfície de la seva aplicació.

Additionally please fix the categories. Spotify seems to bunch up all music in catalan as one single genre or category.
