[Mobile] Listening History On Mobile

On the Desktop client it is possible to view your listening history (Play Queue > History), this functionality should be added to the mobile applications too.

It could be added very nicely into the new "Me" tab on iOS:

Hey folks,

Thanks for your support and patience while we're looking into this 🙂

Happy to confirm you should now have the option to access your listening history on mobile too.

Take a look here if you'd like to know more.

Cheers!

Very disappointing that a company like Spotify who implemented Tribes and a great way of working to perform continues delivery haven't prioritised this basic mobile feature to view history.

Amazon Music and Alexa both have a history.

So what I use is Alexa voice control for playing music on Spotify as the default music streaming service.  The history is populated in the Alexa mobile app so this is good.  But using Spotify App no history 😟

Please can Spotify prioritise this basic feature which has been submitted for 7yrs?

I don't know anybody who uses Spotify desktop app and now after 7yrs a suspect desktop is use even less.

Looking forward to this feature being released very soon...

Regards

Spotify Customer

I've been wanting this for a while and was about to post the same idea when this came up as a duplicate. Spotify, please make this happen!!!

i don't understand why you can't scroll *up* in the "now playing" queue to view the previous song(s). tidal allows you to do this but with spotify i actually have to skip back to and play the previous song(s) in order to see what played before. really kills the mood when a song ends, the next song starts playing, and someone says, "who was that last song by?"

"well i hope you want to hear it again, because that's the only way i can tell you." 🙄 i realize that it says "playing from playlist: discover weekly" or whatever at the top of the queue, but if you were listening on shuffle, going back to the playlist won't help you find the previous song that played. lack of basic functionality/low-key vibe killer.

The idea "listening history across devices" has been closed as duplicate - however, it is not. this idea is about having view history on mobile for songs played on mobile - which is better than nothing, like now, but not the same.

This used to be a feature as a playlist, albeit a while ago. Why would you get rid of this? And why is it so hard to bring back??

this was just implemented on my mobile account maybe two weeks ago. it came in the form of a little clock icon next to the settings icon on the home page. I was SO happy and began using the feature the way I use it on desktop. now it is mysteriously gone. that icon is simply no longer there on my app. what is happening???

Oh my word!!! Okay two months the EXACT same thing happened to me. I was using it and LOVED it, then a couple hours later BAM it was gone again and hasn’t come back since.

Spotify....  the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER !

get F’kin on this.  Your Customers should EASILY be able to find their history of songs listened to. Who the **bleep** would want to look up their Playlist or Album History?  And why is it soooo difficult to give feedback for this and other suggestions.  I’m moving to Apple Music soon.

So stupid is the non-existent Feedback Department at Spotify.

Why did you remove this function in the first place? I used to love being able to go back and save all the songs I'd been listening to for the last hour+ from radio.

Although the platform has changed, this should not be a hard add, and it would make a difference to thousands of people.

You guys should know, this is genuinely the one reason I don't use Spotify. The experience of hearing a great song and then losing it forever is just too frustrating, and Spotify isn't the only game in town.
