Good news!

Spotify now supports downloads on Apple Watch. This will be rolling out over the next several weeks.

I've been using Spotify for a year or two now (since Rdio folded and sold to Pandora), and I love the service.  It's exactly the way I want to subscribe to music.  I have a family subscription, and use the app almost every day (as do the rest of my family).

One of my favorite scenarios is being able to use Spotify in my workouts.  Having music streaming directly to an Apple Watch (without the need for a phone) is a game changer.  When I work out, I don't want to have to carry my phone with me.  Not having this feature could be a reason to completely shut of Spotify and switch to Apple music.  I don't want to do that - I like Spotify, but if that use case takes off, and Spotify doesn't offer a product in that space, then it might end up switching to Apple Music completely (i.e. I'm not going to pay for 2 services - if one of them offers me all the scenarios I want, I'm not going to hesitate to switch).

Please don't make that mistake and underestimate this scenario with your users.

Another failure for Scrum, letting engineers “work on what they want” (if the videos are to be believed) and a lack of listening to their customers. Arrogant.

How can you possibly have this as “not now?” It has been said by others already, but you guys are really mistreating your customers by not making this happen ASAP.  I truly like literally everything about Spotify over Apple Music. But guess which one I am paying for premium use through? That’s right, the one I can use on my watch without my phone. You guys are literally making thousands of users suffer in one way or another by not having an Apple Watch app out, let alone not making the development a priority. It would be nice if the company would at least put out some sort of actual statement on this.

This is ridiculous that there isn't an Apple Watch app from Spotify. I have been a Spotify Premium user for a while now and I hate to say goodbye to it. Unfortunately, the lack of an app will cause me to switch to Apple Music. Thanks for nothing, Spotify.

Would also love the Spotify app on Apple watch, so I can exercise and listen.  Pretty please?

I bought an Apple Watch 3 hoping to stream music on my watch without my phone.  If Spotify doesn’t come out with an app soon, I will switch to Apple Music.  I will hold my nose and do it.  Please don’t make me.

‘Not right now’? You lot ducking kidding me?

MrKingsley

This becomes more important with the release of the Apple Watch 3 which could play music without phone.

This would be a really great idea, I love Spotify but since I use it mostly for driving and the gym I would love to be able to use it on my Apple watch without carrying my phone everywhere. I really don't want to switch to Apple music. Please please please make it happen!

Still no movement on this? I've been waiting to come back to Spotify for two years.

I want offline playlists on my Apple Watch!

I guess Spotify don't want my money.
