Picture on Profile

I would like to suugest the option of adding our own pictures or avitars WITHOUT linking it to our Facebook accounts.

I know there are some of us that were fortunate enough to get Spotify before it linked with Facebook and I would love to add my picture on the account page.

I just signed up for Spotify a matter of minutes ago. One of the first things I did after installing the service was complete my profile and attempt to change the standard "grey shadow" picture. I was amazed to find that this is impossible for non-Facebook linked accounts, and impossible even for premium accounts who are non-Facebook users.

Profiles and pictures are the only way that social network users can individualize and personalize web presences. A profile picture is like an individual's "face" which they present to the social community. Why force your users to link with another social media site for full functionality of profile features? Why is correcting this issue such a low priority for Spotify when it is obviously not a low priority for your users? 

Spotify is an acclaimed online music service. I would hope that your mission would be to provide the ultimate in customer service and user satisfaction despite your association with Facebook . . . .

Here's a thread about a suggested feature that's remained active for over a year. What's the hold up? A profile photo is hardly rocket science.

New to spotify; will never be on FB; would love to add a profile photo.

WELL DONE SPOTIFY! More then a year now, and... nothing!  o_o

I don't want Facebook, I want a avatar on my spotify profile, simple as that! The programming would be a piece of cake for you to sort, but for some inexplicable reason you don't want to give us, your loyal, paying customers what we're asking for.

There's 40  discussions in the forum taking up this topic, thousands of users wishing for the same function. Would be great if a representative for Spotify could give us a answer explaining the thought behind the desition not to follow up on such a small thing?
