Remove Pop-Up Suggestions

I have all notifications turned off on my iPhone through Spotify settings, but I've been noticing increasing pop-ups telling me to check out these random new features or playlists or artists that I couldn't care less about if I tried.  HOW do I get rid of this? Pop ups once a day was irritating, but now they are occurring 3-5 times a day and I have HAD IT. HAD ITTT.

Hey, you all!
Just jumping in here to say that you can now choose not to get the pop-up recommendations anymore. It's straightforward to deactivate the feature, by just following these steps:

 

Step 1: When the pop-up recommendation appears on your screen, tap on the What's this button.

Step 2: On the next screen, you just need to choose between don't get new recommendations from that specific artist or completely stopping to get the pop-ups definitely.

Once you choose to stop getting the pop-up updates, there is no way to revert this action, so think carefully before doing this, ok? 🙂

Dev team: yes, we can disable this.
Leadership: what's the projected loss in ad revenue?
Accounting team: $$$$$$
Leadership to dev team:  mark it as implemented and move on.

We pay a monthly fee to avoid annoying ads, but here are dealing with...annoying ads.  Do I need to buy a premium + no ads plan? 

No, signing out/in does not resolve the issue.

How many times do you people need to be shown how to deactivate this? Maybe they should create a pop up so you’ll notice it?

We don't need to be shown what isn't there.

 

There is a popup suggestion everytime I open the app with no way to dismiss let alone turn off. The "what's this?" text is no where to click on.

 

Spotify needs to provide a way to disable all popup ads and recommendations globally.

I’m trying to prove that your ignorance and self-confidence despite your lack of any rational understanding of how a business like Spotify works ruins progress that could be made through the community. 

No more correspondence needed. Good luck changing Spotify’s business practices you’ve got a great thing moving for yourself.

Paying customers shouldn't be putting up with this behaviour. All you're doing is adding to the problem.

 

How about instead you try to be apart of the solution?

I think what @mitre226644 doesn't understand is that yeah, there is a way to opt out...but they don't work. Those opt outs literally do not work. I've tried many times. They're designed not to work.
