Way to prevent duplicates in playlists.

I have big playlists, and would like a built in way to prevent duplicates from occuring in my playlists.  This could be an option to prevent, or select/hide duplicates.

Seriously, when are you going to fix this? It's a plain failure to anything containing playlists.

I really:

• don't care about apps
• don't care about Facebook integration
• don't care about design changes
• don't care about Web Player (although it seems quite important for Spotify  atm)

This feature is the only one that really matters for me.

Idea for autor/ playlist-editing priveleges so you can have collaborative playlists without everyone haveing access to edit or delete! 🙂

Perhaps, given the age of this thread and idea, this should go from "Under Consideration" to "Implemented" already. Just a simple warning that you're about to add a duplicate track would be enough. What's taking so long, Spotify?

I have loads of duplicates in my playlists cause I have such a bad memory 😉

Having a really hard time understanding what is shoos difficult for Spotify, that so many other services done ages ago before them done.

Looking at the list of requests from their userbase here on the community page makes me wonder what their programmers do all day...

Can´t be coding that's for sure.

Portrait mode took over a year to implement for Android, so something as complex like this feature will probably take 5 years easy.

Hoping for Chromecast support also, but certainly wont hold my breath waiting for it to arrive.

All this time spent waiting for Spotify to fix their fcuking services really start to wear on my nerves and Google music really start to look interesting.
