Way to prevent duplicates in playlists.

I have big playlists, and would like a built in way to prevent duplicates from occuring in my playlists.  This could be an option to prevent, or select/hide duplicates.

Does this feature match only the exact Artist/Album/Track, or will it just match Artist/Track? I hate getting the same song just because it is on different albums (i.e. when it first released, and then again in greatest hits, and then again if it was a single).
