Way to prevent duplicates in playlists.

I have big playlists, and would like a built in way to prevent duplicates from occuring in my playlists.  This could be an option to prevent, or select/hide duplicates.

Hello everyone. Spotify here. With the latest release of the Desktop app, this feature is now available across Desktop, iOS and Android. Thanks for the feedback. Enjoy!

This happens why Spotify filters three situations: song, artist and album. Spotify should use only these two: exactly the same song from the same artist. This sounds so simple to do.  Spotify, why don't you do that for us?

this doesnt currently exist for spotify webplayer, can you make this work for this possibly please?

I have spotify premium and my son logged in with my account on his ipad now ive lost all my playlists and dont have premium although i can see his playlists? Any ideas????

When you add a song to a playlist it will tell you if there is a dublicate in your playlist. Be aware though that if you have the same song but from a different album or a slightly different remix it won't alert you.

So buddy, it only does this with the installed app. The Web player is different and does not support this. As I've been adding countless duplicates. Thank you.

This would be especially useful when playing all songs by an artist and you get the same song appearing on multiple albums, so it plays lots more times (once per album) than a song that only appears on one album.

Why it's not implemented in Web Player ??? I mostly use it and its big problem for me 😞

The "shuffle play" function needs a major overhaul.  I have huge playlists yet hear the same songs over-and-over again.  This is a major drawback to having Spotify versus other alternatives on the market.  If someone wants to actually hear their entire playlist they are better served by taking shuffle off. This shouldn't be the case.  Can this feature be improved?
