ADD AIRPLAY 2, SPOTIFY IS LOSING USERS

I’m not too sure what the issue is, spotify being a billion dollar company and one of the leaders in the music streaming industry.

WHY IS THERE NO AIRPLAY 2 SUPPORT?! 

its 2024, airplay 2 came out years ago and yet you still haven’t implemented it into the software everyone uses on a daily basis. 

please make this a priority. it’s been years. stop beating around the bush saying “we’ll get to it in the future” get to it now.

Bumping this. Now that you guys got rid of hardware volume control for Spotify Connect, how about you implement Airplay 2?

Sick and tired of gappy playback despite having the latest everything and fast internet. Literally the only thing that makes me consider going to Apple Music.

I’m a Spotify Premium user of ~3 years.

I have been patiently waiting for Spotify to implement AirPlay 2 support AS THEY PROMISED, to finally fix the audio cutting out issues I have on my HomePod speakers.

I just started a free 6 month Apple Music trial. Surprise surprise it doesn’t suffer from this issue.

Spotify, you have 5 months until I’m gone for good. Tick tock.

About time? What are you whining about? Digital Market Act already hit Europe and theres really nothing more you can do! You cant expect to pay nothing if you want to use a platform. Its like retailers telling amazon to not charge them because amazon basic products also dont pay a fee

Mirroring comments from others. After 6 years subscription as a user of Spotify premium user I’m calling it quits and switching to Apple Music. It’s clear that Spotify WILL NOT provide AirPlay 2 connection and dragging their feet has no credibility any more.  I invested in my AirPod speakers and I want to enjoy them. Spotify has no regard for us with AirPlay speakers and I have had enough.

I only have HomePods and the Spotify connection is terrible.  It's only the kids stopping me from changing to Apple Music.  And the last one is leaving home very soon .....

Please add AirPlay 2 support. It’s so unreal that you keep supporting AirPlay 1, but don’t bother to upgrade the standard to version 2.

10 year spotify premium user here. This issue just caused me to download Apple Music. Likely cancelling spotify.

I’m about to do the same with my family premium plan. The choppy playback on my home system is unacceptable. Add airplay 2 and I’ll consider switching the whole family back
