Add dolby atmos to Spotify for Android and apple

I know this is getting old. But it would be really good and a dream come true if spotify can add dolby atmos to their platform for Android and Apple. The reason why I'm personally requesting this feature is because if you included on the premium plan at no additional cost, it would increase the overall value of this plan and competition against other music apps that have dolby atmos like tidal or apple music.

Secondly, it would allow users to fully be immersed in their music in ways never before with dolby atmos. The way I'm thinking it should work is that when you select an album with dolby atmos support, you should see the dolby atmos logo at the bottom of the artist. It should also have the dolby atmos logo on the bottom of the track playing.

Lastly and the most important one, when downloading songs in dolby atmos, it should have a slightly bigger file size. I would also like for dolby atmos to be supported with apples spatial audio. And that it can be turned on or off at any moment in the settings.

I am a Spotify loyal/defender but after caving to nags from my sister I got an Apple Music trial and it is like hearing songs for the first time again.

Spotify, please, please, PLEASE support Dolby Atmos! I find Spotify a lot more user friendly, but ultimately it’s about music quality and I fear that Apple Music may win….

Just move to Apple Music, atmos and Spatial Audio is awesome. Convert all your playlists with something like Songshift…never look back.

Honestly looking at shifting my subscription because of this. Really wish you’d pay licensing or whatever needs to happen. Been with Spotify for 10 years now and Apple Music might just make more sense now

I have both Spotify premium and apple music.

apple music was really behind Spotify, but now they have several features like dolby atmos, ability to reduce vocals and that’s great.

listening music in dolby atmos is such a great experience. It’s a shame that they haven’t implemented yet.

I agree with this suggestion. I use Apple Music for the simplest reason: it supports Dolby atmos and Spotify doesn’t.

All tough this is an excellent idea, I would also like for songs to be compatible with Dolby atmos on the free plan aswell.

Nothing is better than listening to music when driving. Currently in a Polestar 3 with an amazing audio system, TIDAL supports Dolby Atmos, Spotity doesn’t - time to step up this game and stay ahead of competition.

Dolby Atmos / Spatial Audio is literally the one reason I'm currently switching over to Apple Music. It's amazing. Can't understand why Spotify has been "talking about" lossless and Atmos for so long but made no moves.

This is a great idea. I have been listening to Amazon music which does support Dolby Atmos and I think that it would be the ultimate addition that would stop me from switching. Maybe a similar feature could be added to Garmin wearables?
