Add option to remove made for you recommendations

It's been getting very hard to find new music in Spotify because everytime I open a new playlist or open a song radio it keeps playing stuff I've liked that's not related to the original song.

I propose adding an option (preferably account option but could be playlist or radio option) to turn off recommendations related to listening history.

I absolutely loath this feature . Every playlist sounds the same now

Recommendations are ads. It's sponsored content forced on us even though we pay to not see it. They take up more and more real estate on the screen and degrade the experience. Any given time I open the app, at least HALF the home screen is recommending content. Whether it's sponsored or just to drive engagement, it's an ad and it's disrespectful.

Agreed. Spotify transparently uses it to funnel people to their sponsored playlists. It's an engagement machine that treats us like rats, not a way to discover actual human music anymore.

This is horrible!! The Spotify "Made for..." default setting is ruining the app experience to the point that I'm seriously considering ditching Spotify. Why is it that every radio station I make from a variety of different songs always converges to the same recommendations, regardless of the genre of the original song? It's so horrible. Is there any movement on having a feature where radios are created based on the attributes of the selected song rather than a user's listening history?? Give me some hope here before I jump ship!

There needs to be an option to turn this off or at least remove it from search. It's polluting the results ‐ I did a search and of the the 16 results, 7 were 'Made for You' suggestions.

As another commenter said, “every radio station I make from a variety of different songs always converges to the same recommendations.”

Somehow even Spotify's curated playlists (like Classic Oldies) are affected by this.

I'm so tired of everything I've been listening to. Can I exit the "made for me" ecosystem and see what else is out there? I'm in an echo chamber of music which, while good, is only a tiny taste of what's out there (or is there nothing else out there??).

I can't even browse genres anymore!
