Add the “select” feature that was in the queue back.

I don’t know why it was ever removed in the first place. You could checkmark songs you wanted to remove from a playlist, rather than individually selecting each song and sliding it to remove. I don’t understand why that feature would ever disappear, as it was incredibly more convenient.

You actually can remove individual songs from the queue. You just have to swipe them.

My problem is that i cant select multiple songs to remove.

If you want to make changes for the better, that's alright but please DON'T remove functions.

Before, I used to repeatedly shuffle my liked songs, and when I see a song I feel like listening to, I just pressed the 3 dots and added it to the queue, and then I continued shuffling. Now I can't do that.

Think about it: with this function removed, if I scroll too much down the list and I see a song I want to listen after the current song, I have to drag all the way up the list. That's not practical. And whenever I press shuffle, the queue I made will disappear. Not practical at all.

That said, the queue system now works faster and more fluidly, I give you that.

I agree! Although you can add songs to the queue by swiping left and deleting by swiping right the controls are finicky and half the time it doesn't add the song to the queue. Plus I really enjoyed the old queue feature where you could select multiple songs and then hit add to queue or remove. Now they have to be done all individually which is so much less efficient!! Can we please change it back or make this new update more functional for users.

I just got the new queue UI and I can no longer remove multiple songs from the queue. I also had no idea how to remove one song at a time until I read the previous comment. I want them to bring back the ability to remove multiple songs. Just because I have my music on shuffle, it doesn't mean I don't have a vibe in mind.

Heck I liked the old layout for the opposite reason- to quickly add a bunch of songs in the list to a quick queue.

I also absolutely hate this change. You can no longer scroll down, select a song, and adding to the top of the queue with 2 taps, you have to drag and scroll it all the way up.

I am finding the play queue is a serious limitation. When using Android Auto app, I tried to play a 200+ song playlist on shuffle. It put one song immediately after the 1st song of the album already in there and the rest at the end of the album already there.  There is no option / button to clear all 200+ songs (I've tried desktop and Android app) in one go and even removing them individually doesn't seem to be able to remove the first 2 songs at all. Please can there be a clear all button that removes everything regardless of how it got into the queue?

I couldn’t agree more! You used to be able to delete multiple songs from the queue at a time. It was easier to scroll through, too. IMO this new queue looks clunky. It takes up a big portion of the screen but because each song is displayed so big, you get less songs shown to you at once and there’s more scrolling involved. I don’t think it looks better and personally I just don’t need a closer look at the album art. I know what the songs I listen to are called and who the artists are.

I’ve disliked a lot of Spotify features— for example, when going into the “add songs” part of a playlist started showing podcasts, which I don’t listen to, because they pretty consistently recommend me true crime, which is depressing and not something I wanna see when I’m just innocently adding songs to a playlist— but this is the first one that I’ve disliked so much that I’m saying something publicly.

Please bring back the ability to remove things from queue. This is a huge oversight.

the new queue is actively difficult to use. i hate it! before, i could quickly remove/reorder songs one-handed. now i have to use both hands because there's only sliding (no hitting/pressing), and the controls are too slippery. you have to be so ultra specific about how you touch the screen.
