[All Platforms][Playlists] bring Canvas to other platforms (Desktop, Tablet, TV, consoles)

I, for one, actually like the Canvasing ideas on songs. To be honest, I wish there was more as I have my phone on a charging dock on my desk next to my monitor (audio bluetoothed to my stereo) and I can't help but think that the idea of the canvas should be expanded to tablets and the desktop app. I think its a nice surprise, even if its only a few seconds on a loop for the length of the song.  I'm sure over time you'll add more to iconic songs of the past as you also keep adding them to newly released tracks.

I see there are plenty of other users out there that don't particularly care for the option. That's fine; it's not for everybody. I still think it should be expanded upon. When I'm using airplay at home to listen to music, it always gets my attention when the canvases pop up, but this doesn't happen when I have my iPad on airplay, just iPhone. The canvas seems like a more lively visual compared to just a plain 'Now Playing' screen. Just something to consider.

The full-screen images were partly obscured by album images and song information. Instead of full-screen images, somewhat smaller, unobscured images maybe could be shown. While a song is playing, a sequence of artist images maybe could loop. That's like some Music Choice TV channels I've watched.

Some weeks ago I got static artist images on my LG OLED instead of the old player.

BUT they disabled the automatic OLED screensaver so you are presented with a minute long static image on a OLED tv...

We need a non static solution for OLED asap!!

So I commented on 10/7/2021 that I was now getting canvas loops on my iPad but ... no more.  Not sure why it appeared for a short time and then suddenly went away.  It was nice while it lasted.

You keep users voting for this functionality. In some posts a trigger level of 500 was mentioned. Wha does this mean?

Is this an indicator for you to think about and investigate?

Hope to have it soon. DJ support was meanwhile switched off, so you open the door more and more to change to an alternative platform.

Just commenting to bump this again (if that even works). I love canvas for mobile, but think its absolutely ridiculous that it is limited to mobile screens.

This would be an amazing feature to add to spotify, that in combination with the lyrics on screen would reaffirm spotify's spot at the top of the music streaming services! let's make this happen!
