This is from the experience of an iOS user; experiences may vary across platforms.
Below, I have listed a few things that need to change with the Spotify user interface. I've split them into sections; each section is a menu or screen of the Spotify iOS app.
Now Playing UI
3 Dot Menu
Has "Share", "Add to Liked Songs", "Add to Playlist" listed as buttons, share and add to playlist are already on the now playing, no reason to add them again, add to liked songs is already possible through the "Add to Playlist" button.
"Go to album" and "Go to artist" are also buttons on the menu; however, these are unnecessary, as the user can tap the song title on the now-playing screen to go to the album, and they can tap the artist name to go to the artist page.
"Go to artist concerts" is redundant since the user can simply scroll below the song on the now playing screen to reveal the latest concerts.
"View Song Credits" is redundant since the credits are below the song on the now playing screen already.
Queue Menu
"Shuffle", "Repeat", and "Timer" are all listed on the now playing screen; no reason to add them again. However, to save space on the now playing screen, it would be wise to keep them on the queue menu and remove them from the now playing screen. Either way, they should be on one screen, not multiple; it adds unnecessary buttons and clutter.
The queue menu should also show the play history if a user scrolls up (Similar to Apple Music)
Album Page
On an album page, short-form content is shown along with an add to library icon, download, and a three-dot menu.
The short-form content is not useful and should be removed as it is distracting.
3 Dot Menu
Adding to the library and downloading to this device are redundant as they are already on the first screen.
Add to playlist and download to other devices can be simplified to the add to library button and the download button, respectively (ex. If a user wants to add the album to their library, they can press and hold the plus button on the main album screen, and it will bring up a menu to select a playlist or their library. Same for download, press and hold, and the user can select where they can download it.
"Go to artist concerts" is redundant as they are already featured at the bottom of the album page.
Artist Menu
"Clips" section on the main artist page is redundant as it is already a menu option on the main artist page.
A user should be able to swipe horizontally through the artist page to get to "clips", "events", etc.
3 Dot Menu
"Follow" is redundant as it is featured on the main artist page.
"Go to artist concerts" is redundant as it is featured on the main artist page.
Home Menu
There should be an option to default to music, audiobooks, or podcasts. When I open the app, I don't want to tap through multiple menus to get to a song and be distracted by Joe Rogan or sponsored podcasts.
Search
Search should also add an option to search the user's library (similar to Apple Music)
The vertical video content (TikTok-style videos) is distracting and should have an option to turn off.
Miscellaeous
The Create button is redundant, as the Create button is at the top right of the Your Library screen.
Final Takeaway
Overall, UI elements need more breathing room and space between each other; everything feels claustrophobic and too close together.
Take inspiration from Apple Music's design language; many users online are complaining about the horrible user interface of Spotify, and it drives many people away from your platform. Users want a clean, consistent user experience that isn't headache-inducing and claustrophobic. Just as simple as a good user interface is enough to bring more people to your platform. There needs to be a major overhaul of how Spotify looks and feels. I've only scratched the surface of what needs to change.
Thank you.

Hey @BringAidanTheHorizon,
Thanks for bringing your feedback to the Idea Exchange!
We’re closing this idea since it doesn’t meet one of our Idea Exchange guidelines, namely point 3: “One change request per Idea.”
Thanks for understanding.
