Bring back the longer Release Radar for users with lots of subscriptions

Release Radar used to have up to 200 songs and was around 8-12 hours long if you follow many artists.

No, this was not some kind of an intermittent bug, this is what many people used to consistently have for years.

Now it shrinked to just around 2 hours and 30 songs max. Here is a whole thread full of dissatisfied customers complaining that their Release Radar got shorter despite following thousands of artists:

https://community.spotify.com/t5/Content-Questions/Release-Radar-only-30-tracks-max/td-p/6245103

The web player still shows 150 songs and more than 8 hours of music for me when I browse the playlist while Iogged out. But it seems it purposefully hides the majority of the tracks while I'm logged in or am using the app (see the screenshots below).

I can hardly imagine how this is improving user experience for your paying customers.

THEY FIXED IT. We are back to full release radar. Thanks to the App Team for listening to our feedback and implementing it.

We did it Joe!

It's sad to watch such essential features get cut.
I really have no understanding for cutting something so simple.
It's literally just a few numbers in code... makes zero sense to not allow more tracks.

PLEASE bring back longer Release Radar playlists!

mine are capped at 30songs while my friends this week was at 138. i was on with chat for 30mins asking if they could adjust it from the back end and they referred me here to get help..

Release Radar keeps getting shorter and shorter. It's super disappointing. They should just allow users to adjust the length of their Release Radar.

For users happy with the short default Release Radar, they can continue with the default length.

But also accommodate those of us who want more weekly recommendations of new music, please 🙏

Hi CBMusic

Release Radar grows as the number of artists followed increases. If a user follows less than 100 artists their RR could be 30-50 songs. 1k-2k followed will send approx 100 tracks to a RR. 2k-3k followed will result in a RR close to 200 tracks with some songs being from the previous weeks. Over 3k followed results in a 200 track RR. It this point you Spotify starts replacing tracks.

I'm following 6252 artists. I get notified daily of new music dropping. Including EP and Album tracks I get 200-300 tracks in my notifications from Saturday to Thursday. My RR is the maximum 200 tracks initially, then songs get replaced (50-100 more). With EP's and Albums included, this amounts to around 300-400 tracks though my RR each week. If I add to that 1 or 2 'New Music Friday playlists & selected specialty playlists, now we're talking over 1000 tracks a week.

To manage this amount of new music refined processes have to be followed.

My goto advice to anyone wanting to increase the artists followed and therefore the Release Radar. Follow every artist and collaborators to songs you like the most. The extra value is in following collaborators. Because they often reappear either solo or with other artists in music you'll like.

Another step you could take is to save playlists from a curators who are following thousands of artists. I'll leave a few below.
